Praise means “to commend, to applaud or magnify.”

For Christians, praise to God is an expression of worship, lifting-up and glorifying the Lord.  It is an expression of humbling ourselves and centering our attention upon the Lord with heart-felt expressions of love, adoration and thanksgiving.

Churches have taken a wide variety of approaches when it comes to  Praise & Worship. Worship Leaders, guitarists, choir directors, accompanists, rock bands,  dancers and soloists, have all been included in the category of Praise & Worship.

Regardless of the title, those who participate play a prominent role in most Christian churches.  Aided and led by the Holy Spirit,  they skillfully combine biblical truth with music and have significant opportunities to teach, train, and encourage Christians in giving to God the glory and praise of His people.
