A new Sunday Evening service begins January 15, 2012
_The Bible never outlines a service or style of worship. Rather it
pinpoints the focus of our worship - God; in whatever Biblical way we
choose to worship, we are to do it all for God and God alone! At The Bridge Church we
uplift the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our God. Until now our
worship together has centered around the Sunday morning service at
10:30. The service is by design, contemporary, meeting the needs of
English speaking Malaysians and Internationals who seek to worship God
together in a contemporary setting.
However, some have expressed an interest in attending a more traditional service. They want to worship Jesus and exalt Him as Lord of all and King of kings, but in a different setting. Starting from January 15, 2012 Sunday nights from 5 pm until 6 pm, The Bridge Church will initiate a new style of worship which combines the best of traditional worship (following a set liturgy which will include such things as praying together The Lord;s Prayer), contemplative worship (built in pauses and periods for quiet reflection), as well as contemporary worship (some hand-clapping music and inter-action). There will also be a kneeling area for quiet personal prayer and a center where those with artistic talents can worship God through art.
This new later Sunday service also provides for those who might not be able to attend the morning service, an opportunity to still come and worship on Sundays.
